Kiwibank Mobile Banking
Together with a small team I worked full time in-house at Kiwibank for about 4 months to lay the groundwork for the design and overall experience of their new native mobile app. I was involved in research, exploration, user testing, prototyping of concepts and flows as well as wireframing and visual design.
In collaboration with the design lead I established a consistent style guide that would shape the look and feel throughout development. The mobile team inside Kiwibank quickly became one of the more exciting projects to follow and would lead innovation for the bank ahead of their web counterpart.
In fact, Kiwibank had on average 7 million active sessions per month with the old app. In July 2016 the active sessions reached over 20 million which was a milestone for the business.
The app was featured in a variety in a variety of media such as Idealog and it was at the top of Forrester's 2017 New Zealand Mobile Banking Benchmark. It was also a finalist in the 2016 Best Design Awards.
